A truly spectacular place, vibe, and environmental situation. It made my spine warm with joy. Who does blackened salmon tacos in chill vibes and albeit pricey cocktails. But a classy no standing policy invites relaxing into velvet benches and leather couches or divans next to fireplaces. A luxurious happy hour spans 5-7 and it offers a groovy quiet respite from the harsh may gray sun. ...and the live music has yet to come...as does the Mac and cheese. Real books, run don't walk.

Upscale pub vibes, great selection, unique cocktails, lovely interior design. Fireplace was a great setting with a few drinks with friends. Can’t go wrong here!

Perfect little bar tucked away on Pico. Cute, dimly lit, veey friendly, and amazing spirit selection. The cocktails appear very unique and flavorful, and the menu offers a handful of bar bites and a few sandwiches. I had the pretzel and the bao buns. BEST PRETZEL I EVER HAD. Holy heck. Made from scratch in house. So yummy. The bao buns are mini bahn mi sandwiches on steamed buns, so delicious! This place is perfect for couples, friends catching up or singles who want to sit at the bar. Best part is youre surrounded by a classical library and can grab any book to read. The staff is super nice and hospitable. The bartender was generous to give me a taste of an aperitif I havent heard of. Dim lit, quiet bar for light chatting. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Came here for a post-work happy hour with a group of five and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience. To start, they were out of several items on their happy hour menu—including the salmon tacos—and didn’t have ingredients for multiple cocktails, which is surprising for a cocktail bar. I had the mac and cheese and it was impressively bland. Very hard to ruin mac and cheese, but they did it. Service was the bigger issue. Our server (who said his name was Alex) came off as condescending from the beginning. Two people in our group had already closed out, so only three of us were on the final tab—but he added a 22% automatic gratuity meant for parties of six or more. When we pointed this out, he didn’t apologize and instead argued that we had originally said we’d be six. It then took about 15–20 minutes to get a corrected bill, during which time he continued serving other tables. Another staff member even checked on us and offered to remind him we were waiting. When the bill finally came, the server stood over my friend while she filled out the tip, which felt uncomfortable and pressuring. The frustrating part is we would have happily tipped 20%+ if the situation had been handled professionally. Instead, the lack of accountability and poor service left a bad impression. We work nearby and won’t be returning for happy hour.

My new found favorite for friends and familiy gathering. Classic old English charm with good selection of foods and drinks. Live music performances few times a week. Reasonably priced that you won't be disappointed. Nice cool ambience.
